The Tasmanian Theatre Company presents its premiere production, the global sensation Bombshells . Wickedly entertaining, Bombshells showcases six dynamic females, each facing crossroads in their lives. From a backtracking bride-to-be caught on the threshold, to a weedy cactus-growing widow as prickly as her plants, Bombshells opens a window into the lives of fascinating, curious and often hilarious women. Comedy theatre spectacular! Witness Comedian and theatrical powerhouse Mick Lowenstein battle over control and technology in this brand new show that blends premium stand up comedy with edgey theatrics and hi-tech wizardy!

Flagship Theatre for Tasmanian Audiences

On the stage of the Theatre Royal, Tasmania’s Deputy Premier, the Hon. Lara Giddings MHA and internationally regarded star of stage and screen, Essie Davis, launched the new Tasmanian Theatre Company.

This new company is expected to fill a void that has existed in Tasmania’s performing arts scene since its last professional theatre company, Zootango, closed in 1997.
